Brad Remembered...

Okay so let me start off by saying that last year my dear sweet husband forgot my birthday...I have him slack because it is the 23rd and we are so busy with things but two years in a row would have been a bad thing!!! Anyways, I wake up and Brad hugs me good-bye....nothing....we talk twice during the morning...nothing....nothing....nothing so by this point I am sure that Brad has forgotten once again and I was fummin' mad...Well I get home and my sweetheart had a dozen red roses laid on the bed (which he made mind you) a white fluffy teddy bear, and a balloon!!! What a little teaser!! Dang I love him!!!! Then we went to Chandra's house for spagetti and to make my birthday cake! I will just say that the cake turned out super cute and I love it!!! It was a great birthday!!! Thanks Honey for being mine :)

Can I Come To Your Party Mom?

Yesterday Tucker woke up and said, "Mom is today your birthday?" I told him that it was and so he sand happy birthday to me, then in the sweetest voice ever he said, "Mom can I come to your birthday party?'' I grabbed that little kid and told him that of course he could and he gave me the BIGGEST hug ever!!!! I love him.

A Four Year Old Drunk....

Okay so on Monday I had to take Tucker to the dentist to have a tooth pulled and a spacer put in. He was such a trooper but let me tell you the story.....First of all we do brush Tucker's teeth and the dentist said that he could tell because there is not over use of plaque (thank heavens at least I can sleep now) anyways.....they decided that Tucker needed a tooth pulled and a spacer put in, and then on the other side he had to get a filling so needless to say, they gave him some stuff that they told me he would seem "drunk" they told me that he would be out but that he would not be in any pain and he would not remember anything about it. Well Tucker was playing with the train set and looked at me and started laughing, I laughed so hard it made me cry. So we went back to a room and they laid him on the chair and he looked up at the movie and started cracking up! Then he slowly turned his head to the wall and his eyes got HUGE he said, "Mom, the turtle is moving"... there was a painting of a Nemo scene and yes there was a turtle LOL! He did a great job through all of it and then once he was done they told me that he would not be able to walk until about 1:00 and around 2:00 he would become combative and there would be nothing that we could do about it. So I decided that I would take him back to work with me...wow!!! On the way to work he kept pushing his lip out as far as he could and said, "Mom my lip will not stop growing! It is going to be as big as the world!!!" He could not walk I had to carry him. He tried to color, he could not even stay in the lines and all he could make was car noises LOL! He was so giggly and cute I should have recorded it!!!! I love that kid!!!

What I am thankful for....

This has been a great year and I have many things to be thankful for. Since this will be the last post for the blog book I figured this was a good way to end the 2009 chapter. I am so thankful for many things so this list will be long..
1. My amazing family
2. My wonderful husband who knows me better than anyone. And the fact that we have made it 5 years, I am very thankful for that.
3. Tucker-wow, he so amazing. He is so smart and such a little ball of fire. He adores his little brother and asked me last night if he could marry me when he gets older, how sweet is that? He is the best little adventurer and I could not ask for him any other way.
4.Bryken- I am so glad that he has been added to our family. He is the sweetest little baby. He is so good and so happy. I love how he snuggles my shoulder and says "Ma ma" and "Da da". I love his sounds and the way his eyes sparkle.
5. My job
6. Brad's job-even though he is out of town so much we have to be thankful that he is employed.
7. My new niece Kelty she is so sweet.
8. My in laws-they are such great people who are so caring and giving.
9. My parents- they have never told me to stop but just to continue on my path and I can achieve whatever I put my mind too.
10. My grandparents for all the calls and making sure we keep in touch.
11. Aunt Lynn having text messaging so I can send her pictures of the boys.
12.Even though I hate it, I am thankful for our apartment.
13. The Food Network-I have found that I love to cook and I am good at it LOL!!!
14. My savior- I so thankful for the teachings of the church and the knowledge that I can see my family members again someday. I am thankful that I know as a family, we can be together forever. I am thankful for the gospel and how it has been taught to me over the years.

I know that there are so many more things but that would take up so many pages! So until next year when I print out 2010 :) Thanks for reading about our family and there is more to come!

Love

Tucker Plays Ball!

We decided that it would be a great time to let Tucker try some sports. The YMCA has Pee Wee sports that range from soccer to baseball. The first sport we are trying is indoor soccer! Tucker loves it! He is on the green team and his coach is an actual coach for older sports with the YMCA. Everyday Tucker asks if he gets to play soccer today, and every single day until Wednesday I sadly have to tell him no. He has the cutest little Nike cleets and Brad found him matching Nike shine gaurds. Last Wednesday he wore the whole outfit all day! He is actually pretty good for a first timer. He can run forever! He loves to play goally and he does a great job at that!! I am excited for what other sports he will play!

Ode To Bry...

I can not believe how big my little baby is getting! He is such a sweet baby. We were at Chuk-A-Rama last Fri. and this lady stopped by out table to tell us how "absolutely adorable he is", well heck yes we already know this but it is neat to hear a random person comment on your kids! Bry is 7 1/2 months already. He started crocking (crawl-rocking) about a month ago. Then it went to army crawling across the floor and now he has figured how to move his arm, then a leg, an arm and kind of a leg before he crashes! LOL, he is so proud of himself. He laughs all the time and has thing for our guitars, the lizzard cage, and the remotes...Bryken is addicted to classical music. Every night, he has to have it on and he calms down instantly, it is the funniest thing. I have to say that my little 18 pound chunka-lunka loves food, especially a cheetoh or two :0 He loves to jump in his rainforest jumper and I do not know how he can do it for so long! I love it when he snuggles his nose into my shoulder and says "Ma ma", he can even say "Da da" it is the sweetest thing! He has two little teeth on the bottom and he sure has a grip. Tucker can not get enough of this little man and plays with him whenever he gets the chance. I am so thankful for all the joy this little man has added to our family!

And the Yankees Take it Home!!

Wow, what a great World Series that was. Yankees killed it!! It was great a win after 9 years and the 27th time that the Yankees have taken home that title...I have to say that I know there was an angel in the outfield this year. Tracy loved the Yankees to, so this was awesome!!! Jeter had some great hits and man Matsui was the MVP! It was so much fun watching this year, even Brad got into it. I was the only one at work rooting for the Yankees! There is a sad part...baseball season is over :( Well all the better next year! GO YANKEES!

The best recipie ever!!

Okay so I have been bragging this dish up forever and I have been telling everyone I would post it so I guess I better get it done! It is so delicious! You will not be disappointed!!!

Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas
Marinade
6 Tbsp Honey
5 Tbsp Lime Juice
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
Other Ingridients
Chicken-cooked and shredded
8-10 Tortillas
1 lb. cheese (you can use more or less)
16 oz. Green Enchilada sauce ( I used Las Palmas)
1 C. Heavy Cream

Whisk Marinade and chicken in a ziplock bag, let it sit for about 4 hours.
Pour enchilada sauce in the bottom of your pan, it does not matter what size you can use big or small. ( I used a 9x13)
Fill tortillas with chicken mixture and place in pan.
Mix left over enchilada sauce with cream and left over marinade.
Pour on top of tortillas and cover with cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minetes!

Bueno!!! YUMMY YUMMY!!! It is some good stuff! Let me know what you think!

Halloween and the festivities!

Tucker and I made cookies on Thursday it was a blast. Tucker even designed some all by himself, he of course ate too much frosting I am sure LOL! Bryken even shared in the fun, I put a little frosting on a spoon and he just loved it. All he says when he eats is, "Num, num, num", you would think that I never feed him by the way he acts.
Friday night we carved our pumpkins and I made pumpkin pizza....it did not really turn out like I wanted it to but it still kind of worked. Tucker loved helping his Dad do the carving and their pumpkins turned out really neat. Brad free-handed his and it was cool!! I really enjoyed making the pizza and carving the pumpkins like we did, I think we may have to make it a tradition.
This year Tucker wanted to be Batman and we found the cutest little horse outfit for Bry. They looked adorable!! It was fun going to the trunk-o-treat in Malad. We went with Bree and Kelty and got some pictures done with Candis and then off to the candy time! It was a great time and I cant wait for next year already!!!

Baking With Tucker

Tonight Tucker and I made Halloween cookies, it was so much fun. He is a good little artist for his age! Bry just loved the frosting LOL!!! Tucker drew some great pumpkins, I think that he enjoyed eating them more, he was so proud when Brad got home that was the first thing he told his dad!

Married 5 Years...WOW!

October 23 Brad and I celebrated our five year anniversary. I guess to many of us it was surprising that we really made it this far. We have had some struggles but it all comes down to the two little boys that make our life amazing, and that we just cant seem to be okay apart! Brad and I have been together since I was 15...forever LOL! We went to Ogden for the weekend and left the kids with Nan and Paps. Friday night we went out to eat with Brad's mom and dad and then headed down to Ogden to meet Brad's sister Brandee and her husband Nate. We went to the Haunted Hallow and needless to say I still get scared like a little girl! Brad actually got scarred twice it was hilarious. My brother in law Nate was worse than any of us! We then drove up Ogden canyon to a place called the Alaskan Inn, they are suppose to be open all night, well they arent. So we called around and found a room at the Sleep Inn (ghetto) and called it a night at 2 a.m. Saturday we bummed around Ogden, needless to say it was a lot of fun. Today we went fishing and Brad got "boobie-trapped by some barbed wire, if I explain he will kill me! Anyways, I thought that I would list the reasons why I love this guy so much and post some pictures...
1. He knows how to make me laugh even when I want to cry.
2. If I am angry he knows how to make me smile
3. He is the best dad ever!!!
4. He adores his boys.
5. I love it when he kisses me on the forehead.
6. He stands about 8 inches taller than me so I feel so small.
7. He encourages me to complete school.
8. He cooks some mean venison!!!
9. He taught me how to drive stick shift LOL!!
10. He always eats what I make even if it isnt the best.
11. He calls me "babe" and I love the way he says it.
12. I love the way he begs me to rub his feet every night!!!
13. He can fix anything it does not matter what it is, what time it is, or even if he is sick and trying to sleep it off! (Thanks for fixing the dryer babe)
14. I never have to pay a mechanic, he changes the oil and does anything else I need.
15. He takes pride in whatever he does no matter what it is.
16. He takes Tucker every where and knows that it is important to teach him things.
17. He loves to decorate for Halloween just as much as I do :)

18. He has taught me how to fish and still takes me even though he spends more time unhooking my snags than anything else!
19. He bought me a pink real that lights up for my fishing pole and whenever we are out and a guy sees it he comments on how "awesome" it is.
I am glad that we have our two little boys and have this cute little family, I do not know what I would do without them.

Tracy

Shayla went to the cemetary the other day and send me the pictures of Tracy's headstone, it so gorgeous. It kills me that he is really gone. Shay said that there is a really pretty poem on the side so when I can, I am going to read it. I miss him so much...and it is so not fair that he will not be around to watch Tally grow up...I am not surprised at how much I miss him, just surprised that I cry all the time when I think about him no matter where I am. The Christmas party this year is the weekend of his birthday, that is going to be tough on everyone. I found this scentsy warmer that I want so bad, it is a Yankee one...it is sweet. I know that Tracy is in a better place where he does not hurt anymore and I am thankful for that but I miss him so much and I wish he was here...

My new hobby....

Okay so I would have never thought for one moment that I would enjoy craw-dad fishing but I do. It is so much fun. I pictured them as little shrimps but these honkers can get huge! We went three times last week and total craw-dad count was 100! I still do not eat fish under ANY circumstance but you boil them and they turn red like a lobster. Brad and Tucker enjoy dipping them in melted butter, they ate at least 50 of them LOL! I was so excited to go this weekend and then it has to rain. It is bitter sweet because I love the rain but I was bummed we did not get to go out. Brad built some really neat traps but catching them off our fishing poles with worms is working so good. You have got to try this!!! It picks up like crazy after dark.

Island Park 2009

Once again, the weekend in Island Park was much needed. This year we finally were able to stay in the new cabin, it is GORGEOUS! Oh my heck it was such a blast.
We went up Thursday night and then Friday we took Tucker fishing. He loved it.

I have to say that I enjoyed my little pink reel LOL and I am still learning we will just put it that way. I cast once up on top of the bridge, yes where the cars are flying by,that takes talent! Brad, Bri, Quintan and I decided that we should take the 5 mile river trip in a flat bottom on Friday...okay not a good idea. My mom, dad, and Nan watched the babies and we decided an adventure was in the making. There were some HUGE fish, but get in a flat bottom where none os us but Brad knew what we were doing, talk about a long day. It only took us 3 hours LOL! I was so burnt and I havent laughed that hard in a long time (thanks to Quintan and not knowing his opposites LOL). Brad tried to fish and we paddled, well that only lasted for so long.
We loved playing air hockey, fuse ball, and the best was the hot tub!

Tucker is actually really good at fuse ball, he is so competitive it cracked me up.

Bry is such an awesome baby, he was tryin to crawl so bad,he scoots backwards it is a ball watching him think that he is so bug!
Saturday we went into the park, we only made it to Old Faitfull because of the forest fire and on the other side the Norris bridge is out, so thank heavens it was free park day LOL!!

We love stoping at this little secluded area where when it is warmer LOL there are so many people swimmg. The kids were so tired by the time we made it to Old Faithful, we grabbed Tucker an ice cream and then he was ready for a nap. Bryken was such a great little sport, he did not fuss at all he just went along for the ride.
