My Birthday Boys....

It was definetly crazy this year for the boys!! We first had Grandpa and Grandma's 50th Anniversary Party in Ferron and then the boys birthday. Then we drove to Malad and had a party there for the boys with the Kelly clan. It was a busy weekend but it was so much fun! Tucker loved having his cousins around and playing pin the tail on the donkey...as you can see Bryken loved the cake! Nan made the boys each a cake this year, Tucker's was a truck and Bry had a lion! They were adorable!!!
Tucker had a blast opening his gifts as well as his brothers!
After the festivities in Utah, we drove to Malad to do a birthday party with the Kelly Crew. We had a BBQ at the park and the kids played games and we had a great time.
I have to say that having back to back parties was fun and in all reality it was not too bad having them together. It am so blessed with these two little sweethearts! I can not believe that we have a 5 year old and a 1 year old! They are growing so fast and I love every second of it!!!

Poop, poop, and more Poop...is that all I ever see is Poop?

I have so many pictures to post from last weekend but we have just been so busy and I have not gotten to it yet...and more pictures from our Easter Festivities today. But as I was watching my little dyed son all cleaned up and playing battle ship with me, I decided that I needed to post about how much love I have for my two little boys. Tucker is so sweet and has the most creative imagination. I just can not belive how blessed we have been to have him. He is such a little ball of fire and he keeps us on our toes, but I would not have it any other way. He loved to put the egg in each of the colors and thought his eggs were "So cool"...he is so independent and had to do things all by himself. We had quite the expirience last night while we were driving down to Malad...when Tucker is older and reads this I am sure that he will want to kill me but it is too hilarious not to tell...so we had just passed the Fort Hall exit and Tucker gets this "Oh know" look on his face and says "Oh dad I have to poop, I have to poop right now...it is coming!" So we think that he is being our little dramatic 5 year old and Brad tells him to hold it and we will get to a gas station...it was not more than a mile before we hear this little voice, "Oh mom, I am squeezing my butt cheeks and they are getting tired...I cant hold it any longer....it is coming hurry!!!" Brad and I started to crack up and realized that he was really serious!! So Brad stepped on the gas...10 min later we arrived to Pocatello and ran into the Maverick. As we entered the restroom Tucker turns around and looks and me and says, "Now hang on mom I need to check this out..." down come his pants and this is what I hear, "Oh damn...." Tucker definetly was not joking when said it was coming...sadly he had the hershey squirts and definetly gag worthy! So I had to undress him in the Maverick bathroom and we threw away his undies! He was so embarrassed!
So then today not as if I had not seen enough crap from last night to last me a while, we are at my mom and dads and we realize Bryken has poop coming up and out of his pants..okay now here is where it gets bad...at daycare they fed him corn! We all know that corn does not digest right..well not to go into too much detail but can you imagine a portion of corn, whole kernels nestled in poop in a diaper...it was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen! We threw him in the tub and cleaned him up....and he smiled the whole time like he was just the best!
Needless to say, I am so done cleaning up poop!!!!!

50 Years!

It is amazing to think that you could really be with somebody for 50 years. I have so much admiration for those couples who will never let go of the love that they have for each other. March 26, 2010, my Grandma Connie and Grandpa Russell were married for 50 years. It is like that saying "Grow old with me, the best is yet to be". That is so true. We get older, and lose our once amazing bodies, hair turns grey, and yet you still have that special someone who does not look at you any differently and loves you through all the good times and the bad. It was so amazing to see what an amazing family the Nelson Crew started. It started with a young man and woman who fell in love...Grandpa saved my Grandma from a hurtful situation and they never looked back. First came Aunt Lynn...then my mom....and then the youngest yet biggest of them all Unlce Jess. All lessons that my grandparents taught their kids have made us all who we are today. Families are forever, and that will never change. Here is to eternity.......

Grandma and Grandpa did not have a cake at their wedding so Aunt Dashay made this beautiful cake and we made sure that they knew it was just for them. Wylie and his buddy Dusty thought it would be great to decorate Grandma and Grandpa's car. I helped and they were right, it was a blast!!!

Bryken was very curious about Grandpa, he seemed to be talking to him and telling him things that only he would understand. Grandpa would grab his little hands and just look at him. I love the fact that both my little boys have had the blessing from being around this great man.

Uncle Jess looks just like Grandpa, even though he is the youngster, he stands taller than everyone!

We are so blessed to be a part of this family and learn from the values that it possess! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for your great example of what true love really is.

The Movie Disaster and Flipping OUt!

I can not wait for this snow to be gone! It is melting but just not fast enough. There are many reasons but my number one reason...to go and play OUTSIDE. Bryken's favorite thing to do is tear apart the movies. We find him there constantly and have finally decided that we will just pick them up once a day...well night actually once he is in bed LOL.

Tucker is ready too. The trampoline is calling his name!

A Few of My Favorite Things....

I can not belive that it is March already! I am so excited because the snow is melting and I can see my driveway...that so means that spring is coming! I love spring! I love all the little animals being born, the grass oh how I love the grass.....I decided that today I would do a posting of my favorite things :)

*My husband! He is so much fun! I do not know how he does it (except the fact that he gets it from his mom and dad) but he knows how to find great deals. These coats are regularly $299 and thrifty Brad bought us each one $50.00 each! They are great! We are excited to have leathers so we can do riding the Harley with his parents! And we will look awesome! LOL! I have to say that Brad has grown into an amazing man, husband, and father and I am so glad that we have him in our life. He has taught me so many things, and made me realize how strong I a really am.

*Tucker...my baby is almost 5! I can not even believe how smart he is and how much he grows everyday! He never ceases to amaze me. He makes the funniest remarks, makes faces constantly and always has us laughing. He is definetly his dad's boy. We finally bought a Wii and this kid can race just as good as Brad, fish just as good, and he is so competitive! Today since the sun was shining Tucker saw all the little puddles forming of the wonderful melting snow. I was carrying in groceries and I told him that he could play on the sidewalk. Well, I came back outside and he had ran in the house, got in his swim suit and was out splashing in the puddles and putting his head under the run off of water from the roof. What a crazy kid! He knows his telephone number, we taught him the song that I learned when I was younger...he has this song that he learned because (now this is so from me..poor kid) he is terrified of the dark, so he sings a song about what things really are in the dark.

*Bryken- this little bundle of joy is almost one and I can not believe that he is so big. I was worried about him a little while ago because in a month he lost 3 pounds...the doctor said that maybe he was having a growth spurt but then he did not grow any inches...he eats tons and you would think that we dont feed him by the way he acts LOL! But he seems to be fine, so who knows what that weight loss was about. Bryken has 2 teeth fully in and 4 more on the top trying to poke through...1 is starting to more than the others so he almost has 6 teeth. He has absolutley no interest in walking, he knows that he is super fast on his knees so that is how gets around. Bryken loves tub time, he splashes all over and laughs it is the funnest to watch him in the tub. I just know that he is still growing so much and there is nothing that I can do to stop it LOL! I am enjoying watching all of his stages!

*The Love Sac- this was the best investment. We start a fire every night and we all cuddle up in front of it on the sac. It is great. I have to say that this will be the only thing about the cold that I will miss.

* Half.com this is the coolest site. I have found movies for $3.00 and they are in good condition. It is a movie and book ebay. I love it! The shipping is reasonable as well, I ordered six movies and spend $20.00, not bad.

*My pantry..I love having room to begin a larger food storage. We really had small amount of food storage in the apartment but now we have more room than we know what to do with! I am sure that we will find something thanks to Broulims sales and all the couponing I do.

*Kraftfoods.com- this is the best site for new recipies. There are things from quick to long and all the things that I have made from here have been great. I love trying new things for Brad but I still have a hard time eating anything that has to do with fish...yuck....but he loves it and so does Tucker so I have learned that I can things from the water..even if I do not eat it.
*Blurb.com-this site makes scrapbooking easy LOL! You can do it digitally...I love to scrapbook but I am so far behind and I just can not find the time to do it all :( So this is the next best thing!

The Joys of My Boys

So I could be talking about the little boys, but lets face it, my sweet husband will always be a kid at heart and that is what I love about him. A few years ago Brad sold his snowmobile and has talked about buying a new one forever..so the other day we finally bought a new one. Tucker thinks that it is great and we even put Bryken on it. He just held on and was having a great time. Brad took all four of us on a ride in the field, it was so much fun. Tucker told me to get off and let his dad take them for a ride. I realized then that my little boy is really growing up and wants to do everything with his Dad. It is bittersweet.

Sadly, now Brad and Tucker are excited that there is still snow..I have to say that snowmobiles are fun but I am so ready for Summer that it

makes me GAG whenever I see snow. I am tired of being cold and bundling up. I think that we need the water but I cant wait to plant our garden and take the kids out to play and jump on the tramp. Summer just will not come quick enough for me!!!

Valentines Surprise

This year seemed like it was going to be just like the last two...Brad out of town working and "I'll make it up to you when I get home, we will go out" seems to be all I hear lately...Brad left Feb. and was not due back until March 8..crazy long time! Well I was bummed but I knew I had to make the best of it especially for Tucker. So we made Pizza and frosted sugar cookies. It seems to be our little tradition, we make pizza and create something to do with the holiday and bake cookies. I have this new recipie for pie you can do Peaches N Cream or Apples n Cream...it is the best I bet Cherries N Cream would be great too...
So after baking, we laid down and watched G-Force and started to doze off. Brad called and asked me what I could hear...It was his truck!! I was so excited! It was so great to have him home for Valentines Day and we have also been together for 9 years this month! He wanted to get me flowers and send them to work but I told him that the fact he was home was good enough for me. LOL!
